The Ontime Plumbing and Heating van livery came to us through a local design studio we regularly collaborate with. Their work is considered and precise, so the brief was simple: reproduce the design exactly as intended, using premium materials and delivering a flawless finish.
The finished van is clean and understated, but every material choice was carefully considered. The “OT” logo on the rear of the Transit Custom isn’t standard silver vinyl. It’s a specialist wrapping film selected for how it responds to light.
For this project, we used Avery Supreme Wrapping™ Film in Quicksilver — a subtle blue-silver metallic that adds depth and movement without overpowering the design. It was a deliberate choice, shared by both our team and the designer, where colour accuracy and material performance were just as important as the final look.
The remaining coloured logos on the sides of the van were produced using digitally printed vinyl with a gloss laminate. It’s a finish we specify for vehicle graphics, where durability matters as much as appearance. The laminate protects against washing, road wear, and UV exposure, keeping colours crisp for the long term.
The Quicksilver wrap subtly shifts in tone as you move around the vehicle. Reflections from its surroundings and changes in viewing angle interact with the metallic pigments in the film. In person, it adds depth and a premium feel—without competing with the message.
This van is a strong example of effective vehicle branding for plumbers. The visual hierarchy is clear: the company name leads, followed by contact details and a concise service description.
One of the most common mistakes in van graphics is trying to say too much. Vehicles are usually seen in motion, often for only a few seconds. By keeping the message focused and legible, this plumbing and heating van design works exactly as intended.
Smart design, paired with the right materials and careful installation, results in vehicle branding that looks considered on day one—and continues to perform year after year.
